What do we do?

In essence we help you, in line with Ofsted requirements, to challenge and close the attendance gap. Working in full consultation with you we:

  • Talk with and interview children and young people about their attendance
  • Meet with parents / carers and families
  • Case manage and prepare escalation procedures in line with statutory enforcement instruments for individuals causing concern
  • Attend and represent you at multi-agency meetings and liaise with statutory services, housing and Children’s Services, and any other support agencies
  • Identify, analyse, plan and review every area and aspect relevant to your school’s attendance
  • Ensure attendance reports are up to date to meet any ‘one day’ notice of an Ofsted inspection. We also assist inPost Ofsted support, guidance and termly reports.

Enchanced provision

We offer a 'hybrid' service of an Education Welfare Officer/Education Welfare and Family Worker. This role is designed to help reduce the time pressures on Headteachers and senior staff who undertake so much parental support along with all their other duties. Please contact us to find out more.

Where do we work?

We work across schools, academies and free schools in the London boroughs of Bromley, Croydon, Sutton, Merton, Kingston, Lewisham, Lambeth, Southwark and the Royal borough of Greenwich. The South East of England, Medway towns and the counties of Surrey, Sussex and Kent.
